Katelyn smith is the creator of drift ceramics, located on unceded syilx territory (kelowna, bc, canada).

i have my bachelor’s degree in Art education. i taught high school pottery and art for two years, then i taught pottery in a studio setting for six years. now i teach pottery wheel and hand-building classes out of my own studio!

the pieces i make are intentionally created by my hands, both useful and uniquely made. much of our time has become limited, and it is my hope that the pieces i’ve made help you to slow down, to feel, to share, & to ground you in the present moment. whether that is through caring for a plant, a meal, a cup of tea, or a late night snack.

the pieces i make are created to emulate what i’ve named it as; abstract, changing, fluid, and moving.
